Noriega: Grease bags are silly, but so what?!
KHOU-11 reports that Mayor White and his Council have signed off one of the silliest proposals to reach Council during his administration -- the plan to distribute 15,000 "fat trapper" bags to select residents.
“Sometimes solutions are simple, but it’s easy to make fun of this one,” said Council Member Melissa Noriega before voting ‘yes.’ “We should not just dismiss it because it’s silly. It’s an important issue that concerns a lot of neighborhoods and it’s a reasonable way to address it.”
Wrong!
You should have dismissed it precisely because it was silly.
Voting yes for a proposal you admit is silly is... even sillier.
