Metro seeks public input on service adjustments
Metro has scheduled two meetings on Thursday to discuss service adjustments. Some of the adjustments listed are already in effect. The rest look to be newly proposed bus route modifications. It's a long list, so I'll copy it in the extended entry.

METRO will conduct two public hearings to receive comments on considered service adjustments for Sunday, May 29, 2005. METRO has scheduled the public hearings for:

Location is wheelchair accessible.METRO is evaluating the following route, schedule and facility modifications. Please review the information for any changes that may affect your daily commute.
NOTE: Routes considered for elimination have experienced low ridership for an extended time. In most cases, METRO offers alternate service in the affected areas. By discontinuing low-performing routes, METRO makes the best use of its resources, including your tax dollars, and continues to offer affordable, reliable and accessible service to our community.

METRO�s newest Transit Center, the Gulfgate Transit Center, opens Sunday, May 29. It is located adjacent to Gulfgate Mall on the Loop 610 South feeder road at Evergreen. The new Transit Center features 204 parking spaces and a pedestrian bridge to the mall. Three routes�the 5 Southmore, the 36 Lawndale and the 101 Hobby Airport�will operate through this Transit Center.
