Sports adopts full-screen "hijack" advertising

I appreciate that is free to users, and I appreciate that has to pay the bills, but it's really disappointing to see that the sports page has adopted those annoying full-screen ads that hijack a browser for a few seconds before allowing a user to see content.

I hope this advertising strategy is not permanent. I think it's a mistake for interactive media to annoy its users.
