Editorial LiveJournalists opine for the Pope

Yesterday, the Chronicle Editorial LiveJournalists took it upon themselves to advise the Pope (for real!):

Leaving aside the presumptuousness of that particular editorial board advising anyone on religious matters, we just wish they would spell "balloon" properly when they decide to opine for the Vatican.

As our Catholic buddy Matt Bramanti put it, "it makes it easy not to get offended at stuff like this when it's so ridiculous."

Chronicle balooney!

I'm feeling better each day about my English writing skills every time I read the Chronicle, when I do.

Mr. Matt Bramanti is correct on his analysis, unfortunately the less astute reader, ie, liberal, would not know the difference between a Cardinal and a priest.

It's hilarious that Rome's top prelates and ethicists are being lectured by a gaggle of people who -- literally -- cannot spell theologian.

"Theologican" is odd, isn't it?

I don't find it in a dictionary, but if you google it, it does seem to be used some.

Is it just a slangy term that's emerged recently?
