Real Name: Kevin Whited

Bio: Kevin Whited is co-founder, editor, and general web guru of blogHOUSTON.

He came to Houston in 1995 to work on a doctorate in political science and fell in love with this crazy city. He started a personal weblog some time ago to keep track of Houston's dive bars, among other things, and somehow won a Houston Press award in the process.

Oh, and he finished his Ph.D. (with areas of focus including American Constitutionalism, Political Theory, and International Politics and Security), but discourages people from calling him doctor, lest he have to explain during a medical emergency on an airplane that he isn't really qualified for any procedures other than textual analysis and multiple regression.
