Stick a fork in Jordy Tollett

No more beating around the bush -- Mayor White wants Jordy Tollett out of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau when Tollett's term expires (via KHOU-11):

Houston’s mayor has taken another step toward ousting the city’s colorful convention and tourism chief.

Mayor White has made it clear he’d like to see Jordy Tollett leave the city’s Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, although we haven’t been told exactly why.

Tollett had recently taken a leave of absence after he was spotted drinking during business hours.

Now the mayor is asking the bureau’s chairman to hire an executive search firm.

KHOU provides a link to the mayor's letter to the chairman of the GHCVB, and the letter is much more, uh, pointed than the above story indicates.

Jordy'll have to really work those "legendary survival skills" to survive this one.
