KTRK: METRO bus strikes, kills pedestrian in Midtown
KTRK-13 reports that a METRO bus has killed a man in Midtown:
A pedestrian has been struck by a bus in downtown Houston.The accident happened at about 4:30pm Thursday at the corner of Smith and McGowen. A man about 60 years old was apparently crossing the street outside the crosswalk when he was struck by a METRO bus.
He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he later died.
Within a month's time in 2003, two pedestrians were struck and killed by METRO buses in separate incidents.
Be careful out there.
