Latest Metro service adjustments start August 13th
It's been a couple of months since Metro last slashed bus routes, so it must be time for another round of Metro Service Improvements!
METRO Service Adjustments Coming Sunday, August 13, 2006!
METRO is evaluating the following route, schedule and facility modifications. Please review the information for any changes that may affect your daily commute.
2 Bellaire
Saturday – Discontinue the 12:37 a.m. eastbound trip due to low ridership.3 Langley/West Gray
Sunday– Discontinue the 5:30 a.m. northbound trip due to low ridership.8 Yale
Weekday, Saturday and Sunday – Discontinue service from the Blue Bell subdivision at the community’s request and due to low ridership.9 Gulfton/N. Main
Saturday – Discontinue the 12:25 a.m. northbound trip and the 11:45 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. southbound trips due to low ridership.10 Willowbend
Saturday – Discontinue the 12:12 a.m. northbound trip due to low ridership.14 Hiram Clarke
Sunday – Discontinue the 1:08 a.m. northbound trip due to low ridership.15 Fulton
Saturday – Discontinue the 11:42 p.m. northbound trip due to low ridership.
Sunday – Discontinue the 11:09 p.m. and 11:39 p.m. northbound trips and the 11:35 p.m. and 12:05 a.m. southbound trips.24 Northline
Weekday, Saturday and Sunday – The 25 Northline route will be renumbered and become the 24 Northline. This service will now end at the Downtown Transit Center.25 Richmond
Weekday, Saturday and Sunday – Discontinue service between Wheeler and the Downtown Transit Center. This route will now end at Wheeler Station.42 Holman
Saturday – Discontinue the 5:55 a.m. eastbound trip and the 5:59 a.m. westbound trip due to low ridership.50 Harrisburg/Heights
Sunday– Discontinue the 12:28 a.m. westbound trip due to low ridership.53 Westheimer
Weekday, Saturday and Sunday – Moved service from Seagler to Gessner at the community’s request (effective 7/16/06).60 Hardy/South MacGregor
Saturday – Discontinue the 11:11 p.m. northbound trip due to low ridership.78 Alabama/Irvington
Saturday – Discontinue the 10:29 p.m. southbound trip due to low ridership.79 West Little York
Saturday – Discontinue the 5:30 a.m. southbound trip due to low ridership.88 Hobby
Weekday and Saturday – Moved service from Rowlett and Thermon to Kleckley and Almeda Genoa due to low ridership and to improve service to the Almeda Mall area (effective 7/3/06).202 Kuykendahl Park & Ride
Weekday– Adjust afternoon peak service to meet ridership demand.204 Spring Park & Ride
Weekday– Adjust late afternoon peak trip times for more effective service.221 Kingsland Park & Ride
Weekday– Add trips to alleviate passenger overloads: 7:12 a.m. inbound, 4:54 p.m. “B” outbound and 5 p.m. “A” outbound. Added a 5:10 p.m. outbound “B” trip (effective 7/12/06).228 Addicks Park & Ride
Weekday– Adjust morning and afternoon peak service to meet ridership demand.255 Kingwood Park & Ride
Weekday– Adjust trip times to provide more effective service.265 West Bellfort Park & Ride
Weekday– Added a 3:03 p.m. outbound trip to meet ridership demand (effective 6/13/06).
