What does this sentence mean?
Brian McTaggart's lede tonight on Chron.com:
Big innings in baseball usually involve and few extra-base hits and perhaps a home run or two, but the Astros took a different route to piling up the runs to beat the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
Huh?
