Live Blogging The Game

2:56 - It's over. Texans win it. I bet Capers is already in his car and getting the hell out of there.

2:53 - Now the Texans are doing what they should have done last time and letting the clock run...

2:51 - Miami went for the onside kick and nearly got the ball. But it is 1st and 10 for the Texans. Culpepper looks like he may be considering retirement.

2:47 - Touchdown Miami... and they don't get the two-point conversion. Texans still lead 17-15

2:44 - Astros will not be in the post season. It's not a prediction this time. It's a fact.

2:40 - A Miami receiver just dropped an extremely catchable ball on 3rd and 3. But they get a huge gain on 4th down. Lots of time left...

2:37 - After some questionable play calling and a bad punt, Miami now has the ball on the 20 with lots of time.

2:34 - Carr just completed a pass to the sideline. I guess he's just used to being the one trying to catch up. It's ok to let the clock run, boys.

2:30 - Miami field goal cuts the lead to 8.

2:29 - Kubiak has ditched his usual "this never happened in Denver" look for an "I can't believe I'm in a close game with Miami" look. It's a subtle difference. Sabin is quietly chanting "can't lose to the Texans" to himself on the sideline. And Miami is in the red zone...

2:25 - Miami's offense seems to be waking up. There is still plenty of time left...

2:17 - The Texans are picking apart this Miami defense on this drive. So much for all the "Capers knows the Texans" talk. Maybe it should have been the othe way around. Now Carr has a rushing TD and a passing TD. Texans 17, Miami 6.

2:10 - Mario Williams gets a sack. I feel great for the kid. I really do. I hope that inspires him.

2:06 - David Carr runs it into the end zone for the TD on a play that makes the Miami defense look like chumps. I wonder where Capers will be next year.

2:04 - Dayne rushes down to about the 1 yard line on 2nd down. If they don't get it on 3rd down, I hope they go for it on 4th. They have to, right? Do they have a rushing touchdown yet this year?

2:00 - They just showed a shot of Capers looking as clueless as ever. And then Moulds burned his secondary for a 28-yard gain. The Texans are moving the ball again... what will go wrong this time?

1:54 - Culpepper, with all the time in the world, just tried to hit his receiver with a bounce pass. And then he got sacked on the next play.

1:48 - Samkon Gado is having a bad day. Carr has made some decent throws, but he has gotten lucky on at least three plays that could have been INTs.

1:43 - Dolphins kick another field goal and move ahead 6-3. I think both of their FGs have come after turnovers. Thank god for Demeco Ryans who made a nice tackle to stop the drive.

1:39 - Texans were moving the ball nicely. Dayne had a good run. So, of course I was worried. Sure enough Carr fumbles the ball for a turnover.

1:34 - Carr completes a nice pass to start off the second half, but Ephraim Salaam is limping off the field after the play...

1:25 - They just showed the highlights from the Titans game and the Saints game. None of them featured VY or Bush. I still wish the Dallas game was on.

1:19 - Culpepper heaves a long, incomplete, pass into the end zone to end the half. Here come the commercials.

1:14 - Sabin looks pissed about something. I wonder if he is contractually obligated to wear that ugly shirt. It looks like it has a big reflective patch on the back.

1:12 - There are a lot of commercials during an NFL game. How about those Rice Owls putting a beatdown on Army at West Point. They had an easier time of it than A&M did in San Antonio. Oh good. More commercials.

1:08 - Culpepper is sacked again.

1:05 - Current passing leaders for the day: 1. Huard 2. Carr 3. Rivers 4. Warner 5. Bledsoe. I guess all the good teams are playing later.

1:01 - Texans kick a field goal to even things up. On the last play of the drive, one of the Texans O-Linemen was backing up toward Carr and I swear Carr flinched away from him. I don't blame him. I'd be a little skittish too.

12:58 - The crowd shots are reminding of me how much I hate that stupid "first down" thing they do at the games.

12:53 - Nice run by Ron Dayne (seriously) get called back on a stupid penalty. Ugh. I always thought Dayne was misused by the Giants, but it may just be that he sucks. I wonder how VY is doing. I bet McClain is watching the Titans right now.

12:47 - Firefox just crashed. I chose not to send the error report.

12:44 - Miami takes the lead with a 52-yard field goal. Culpepper was sacked again on that drive. I believe that doubles the Texans' sack total for both the game and the season. The offense needs put somthing together here to at least give the defense a breather.

12:35 - Andre Johnson just made a nice catch only to have the ball ripped from him. They're not showing that Dallas/Tenn game are they?

12:32 - Someone, maybe a staffer, is being taken off on a stretcher. Now the game resumes and Carr fumbles. That can't be good for the confidence.

12:26 - Running game still looks shaky, but the Texans just converted a third down. Someone is down on the sideline. I need to go turn the radio back on... commercials. Of course.

12:20 - Man, Nick Sabin's shirt is ugly. He went from a school whose colors are purple and gold to a team whose colors are orange and teal.

12:16 - Culpepper just called one of those "doesn't like what he sees" time outs. Has anyone else had to do that against the Texans this year?

12:14 - Ronnie Brown just made somebody look like a fool. Still... Texans D seems to have a bit of swagger. Ryans has been in on the last three tackles.

12:08 - Ok, things are back to normal. Carr just got sacked. I am going to turn the radio off.

12:04 - Crazy. The defense looks pretty good. Culpepper got sacked and they looked like they were blitzing when they blitzed. The delay on the radio is driving me nuts.

Sorry... it's the Texans game. I have the sound off on the TV and the radio on 610. Here we go... Texans kicking off... Dolphin return to the 27.
